Merry Christmas! welcome to gift genie’s first blog post! i would like to introduce you to myself. My name is Melissa Perez I am a mother of 4 boys, now you would think i would be busy enough but I like to make sure I am sufficiently stressed so i decided to open an online shop. I knew that I wanted to stay home with my children but i also knew that the last time i tried to stay home, i only lasted a year and ended up begging for my previous job back as a preschool teacher. After 1 year i had completely lost my identity and i had merely become wife of a state trooper who worked nights and the mother of 3 boys. I was the cleaner, the cooker, the do everything that needed to be done person. This time I decided to open a shop to help me keep my identity as Melissa Cantu Perez; stay busy and be sure i talk to plenty of grown ups even if it is to people 1000 miles away on social media, and i do not regret it one bit! This time around my house is a little dirtier and i’m a little more stressed but I know that i have not lost the most important thing, and that’s ME.
